Junior
Ali first discovered Pilates in her early 20s when recovering from an ankle injury. Through a mix of attending classes and practice at home she started to understand more about engaging the body in purposeful movement. This particularly helped Ali to develop an increased self-awareness of her hypermobility and how to build strength to support her joints instead of relying upon the over-extension that her joints allowed naturally.
It was only when Ali attended Grace Hill Studios many years later that she felt inspired to further develop her understanding of movement and what Pilates offers in a deeper way, so that she could share her knowledge with clients just as Andrea and Caroline had done with her.
And so, in October 2024, she embarked on her classical training to enable her to teach mat at beginner level.
Ali is continuing her classical Pilates mat training with Everybody Pilates, to become Level 3 qualified in the intermediate and advanced repertoire.
Ali loves meeting and teaching all clients, whether new or regular, and especially values the knowledge she gains from working with the range of people that step into her classes.
Ali is fascinated that the process of learning never stops with Pilates; that it always evolves into deeper and deeper connections to be made to previous understandings.
Outside of Pilates Ali’s interests include music, design, and the outdoors - whether that is simply walking with her greyhound, or embracing all the outdoors can offer whilst camping.
