Hi! I’m Cheryl

A female Osteopath with curly hair and glasses smiling and leaning over a treatment couch in a brightly lit room with plants, artwork, and soft décor.

I graduated from the European School of Osteopathy in 2010, and took over the long-established Sandgate Clinic in 2017 to become the Principal Osteopath and clinic director.

My areas of special interest within Osteopathy are:

  • How stress and trauma affects the body at any age (how it manifests in symptoms that patients experience, such as chronic pain)

  • Perinatal care (pregnancy and postpartum)

  • Pelvic health (for all sexes and ages!)

  • I treat using both structural and cranial approaches, as well as coaching movement. I completely dedicate myself to my clients, tackling hard to fix problems and finding long term solutions to pain.

I see both men and women, young and old, with a wide variety of health concerns. Utilising both hands-on work as well as movement coaching, I aim to unravel the layers of poor posture, dysfunctional breathing patterns, stress, and body mechanics to discover the underlying cause of aches and pains.

My goal is to empower my clients to help improve their own wellbeing - by finding ways to support their nervous systems, by prescribing at-home movements and exercises, and through easy-to-implement lifestyle changes.

I love to help people feel safe in their bodies again, and to feel more confident in everyday activities.

  • A lifelong student, I have completed many post-graduate trainings, including:

    • Women’s Health Osteopathy post-graduate diploma

    • Restore Your Core® movement therapy

    • Body Ready Birth® birth preparation

    • Mummy MOT® & Mummy MOT Fit Pro®

    • Pro-Sport Academy Mentorship

    • Stress Illness Recovery

  • I love to be outdoors - hiking, chopping wood, gardening, paddleboarding, or just watching the world go by from inside our campervan.

I also enjoy crafting, cooking, playing tabletop games, and am now learning Greek!

  • My gorgeous dog Murphy is sometimes in clinic with me, too. She is a Romanian street rescue, and she a very good girl who lives to give and receive love.

If you’d prefer for Murphy to be put into another room when you visit, please do let us know.
